The introduction of the IMS Transmission System marks a new level of modularity and flexability for the Fibox family of Digital Fiber-Optic Transmission System products.   All the proven benefits of the existing Fibox FBAI and FBAO 20-bit Analog modules plus the added flexibility of AES Digital Audio and SMPTE 259M Digital Video make the IMS Transmission System the most flexable Fibox ever.  IMS is perfect as a stand-alone 1RU module set for fiber transmission of (8) AES Digital Audio signals (16 channels of audio).  Optionally, up to (6) Fibox FBAI-SL and FBAO-SL modules can be slaved to the IMS for a mixture of Analog and Digital Audio plus Digital Video in one flexable transmission package.

IMS-Tx / IMS-Rx are a 1RU module pair containing (8) 100 ohm AES Digital Audio ports, Data connector ports for up to (6) 20-bit Analog Fibox FBAI-SL / FBAO-SL slave modules and a single external plug-in module slot for the VFL 300T/R SMPTE 259M Digital Video transmission system for AES Digital Audio.  External sync input and output is provided as well as user-selectable sample-rates.  The 12V DC power supply fir the IMS is external, and must be provided or purchased separately.  The MARKVI PSU is an excellent solution to this powering requirement.
